WHNT, a Tribune Broadcasting station, has an opening for a Sales Assistant to work in our Huntsville location.


The Sales Assistant will provide administrative support to the sales team in effort to assist with local advertising efforts.


  • Support advertiser account activity by processing local orders, correspondence, make-goods and exceptions
  • Assist with writing and reviewing correspondence and presentations
  • Review and file sales lists, contracts and invoices
  • Facilitate schedule change communication through various software systems
  • Participate in research and marketing projects
  • Provide back-up assistance to the Traffic department
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience required
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a sales department preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
