News Intern

Location:  St Louis, MO (KTVI/KPLR)

 

Reports To: Executive Producer

 

The focus of our internship program is to have students gain real-world experience at a TV station.

Duties to include but are not limited to the following:

 

• Adding wire copy to the websites
• Writing stories for the websites
• Taking photos for the websites
• Posting to KTVI and KPLR's social media accounts
• Wrangling guests for the 9am newscast
• Assisting the 9am newscast with booking on-air guest segments

Internship Eligibility:

 

Must be 18 or older and a registered student in good standing at an accredited college or university.

 

Must be able to work the hours required by the news department

 

Students can receive university or college credit for participating in this program but need to handle paperwork involved.

 

Must be willing to submit to a background check.

 

Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
