    Reports To: Director, Creative Services

    WXIN/WTTV, a Tribune Broadcasting station, has an opening for a Digital Promotions Producer to work in our Indianapolis location.


    The Digital Promotions Producer must be a highly motivated and creative individual who can write and produce promotional announcements, short-form videos and campaigns for all station social media/digital marketing and OTT platforms. This position will also manage all social media for station events and partnerships and manage staffing and execution of station outside events in partnership with Promotion Manager. This position will be joining a successful creative production team in a very competitive market.



    • Participate in the development of and oversee the execution of our social media strategy for creative services
    • Oversee day-to-day social media initiatives including writing and posting content and developing strategies to optimize user engagement; drive action and grow participation across all major channels– Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
    • Create and maintain a social media calendar, ensuring that the content for social media channels is aligned with the Editorial and Events calendars
    • Manage paid media campaigns on relevant platforms
    • Be the voice for all things social within the organization, staying on top of the latest trends and best practices, and enabling increased staff participation
    • Consistently monitor analytics, creating weekly and monthly reports and making recommendations for greater success based on data.
    • Together with the Digital Content Manager and Creative Director, develop an influencer strategy to help build meaningful connections.
    • Collaborate with creative team and cross-functionally with the News department in effort to grow ratings, traffic to the station websites and general awareness of our digital platforms
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience required
    • 2-3 years’ professional social media marketing, strategy and community-building experience
    • In-depth understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, LinkedIn etc., from a brand   perspective as well as experience working with social media scheduling tools (e.g. HootSuite)
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while being able to work collaboratively and effectively with team members
    • Familiarity with Facebook & Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics and ability to use information from these platforms to measure social media successes
    • Solid understanding of SEO best practices
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and/or weekends
    • Must be willing to submit to a background check
    • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
