    WDAF-TV is accepting applications for a Newscast Director to join the number one news station in Kansas City.  Must be team oriented and work well under pressure. 


    The primary duties of the position include coding and directing automated newscasts.  This includes working in conjunction with producers and production staff to create an original and exciting newscast.   Must be able to lead a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to produce high quality newscasts.  Duties include but are not limited to preparation and coding of a newscast, operation of robotic cameras, commercial/promotional editing, and other duties needed by Senior Director.  Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  Lighting and editing experience is a plus.  


    3-5 years directing or technical directing preferred.  Newsroom automation experience also preferred.
