    KCPQ-TV, the FOX affiliate in Seattle, is searching for a dynamic and engaging social and digital media producer to innovate on a daily basis.

    Responsibilities

    We are searching for both a rock-solid journalist and a rock-star social-media expert who brings creativity, authenticity and accuracy to every step of the digital storytelling process.

    You’ll need the writing and news chops to produce a strong story, the creativity to sell it to our customers across each of our digital channels, and the savvy to know which platforms to use when.

    We need someone who understands the products and the platforms and uses them authentically on a daily basis. But we also need someone who lives and breathes local news.

    We’re a tight-knit team who works very closely with the rest of the newsroom, so people skills are an absolute must.

    Qualifications

     

                    -Minimum 5 years journalism experience.

                    -Minimum 2 years digital/social experience.

                    -TV background not required. Newspaper and radio journalists are encouraged to apply.

                    -Strong digital writer, with working knowledge of AP style.

                    -Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter.

      -Enthusiasm for rapidly adapting to emerging platforms.

                    -Video storytelling (creation, production, publishing, Facebook Live) experience.

                    -Understanding of digital/social metrics and how to a build strategy based on them.

                    -Proven track record of past success.

                    -Strong desire to win on all platforms and in all strategic metrics.

      -Sports journalism knowledge/experience is a plus.
