  • Overview

    Produce daily broadcast logs. Assist the Traffic Manager, as needed, in day-to-day supervision of Traffic Department.

    Responsibilities

    • Log editing: placing of rejected spots; separating competitive advertisers; moving spots into proper time range; proof and download daily logs for air.
    • Adjust the commercial format to maximize inventory utilization and company profit.
    • Program changes: perform changes requested by programming department and move spots with those shows, notify sales of any discrepancy between the programming and the sales orders.
    • Input daily episode numbers and compare programming to grid.
    • Assign copy for special events on logs such as ‘Snipes’, ‘Tied’ and ‘Billboards’.
    • Work with Account Executives and agency contacts to ensure proper rotation of spots as required.
    • Work with Ingest to insure proper programming is numbered, scheduled and available.
    • Commercial and program screening: view children’s programs and commercial spots that are to air in children’s programs for potential FCC/station license conflicts as needed
    • Order/Data Entry and order approval.
    • Work with other departments to create in-house programming formats.
    • Position requires performance of other department duties as needed for back-up, including back-up supervision of Traffic Department.

    Qualifications

    • Attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Computer literacy
    • College degree preferred
    • Knowledge of broadcast traffic or sales preferred.
    • WideOrbit Broadcast Management Experience highly desirable
