    • Overview

    WDAF is hiring for a Production Technician!  A production Technician at WDAF operates Master Control where we have 3 live streams. Our main channel 4.1, Antenna TV 4.2, and "This TV" on 4.3

    Responsibilities

    Master Control Operators are responsible for ensuring that the automation has the correct programs/commercials marked and ready for air, that all EAS tests (weekly/monthly) are aired correctly, that Transmitter readings are taken, and will insert necessary information on the air such as Amber Alerts, Election Tickers, Live Weather Tickers, and Snipes.

    Qualifications

    The Production Technician will also operate ENG live.  This involves setting up microwave live shots, satellite shots, doing mic and IFB checks.  The Technician will also operate the Wheatstone E-6 Audio board for live newscasts and production.
