FOX 6 News is looking for a person to be an integral part of the long-standing consumer unit, Contact 6. For more than 40 years, Contact 6 has helped viewers with their consumer issues. The Contact 6 Administrator leads the consumer complaint process while also helping with receptionist duties at FOX 6. The ideal candidate has outstanding organizational skills and the ability to juggle phone calls, emails and letters involving Contact 6 complaints. In addition, this person should have a positive attitude and poise as they are the first line of viewer contact not only for calls coming into FOX 6, but also any Contact 6 consumer complaint.
The Contact 6 administrator works with the Contact 6 reporter and Executive Producer to help viewers solve consumer issues and complaints. This position manages Contact 6 emails, complaint paperwork and documentation, processes Contact 6 data and connects with viewers who need Contact 6 assistance. The Contact 6 administrator must follow-through on all complaints and keep the team informed in the process. They will be expected to have contact with viewers daily. The individual is a vital member of the Contact 6 team who helps find and track consumer trends to assist with on-air stories. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a passion for helping people. As receptionist, this position is responsible for answering all incoming calls, assisting guests and station visitors, and perform other duties as assigned by station management.
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business/Office Administration/related field or equivalent related experience. Must be personable with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of ACT software is a plus, but not required.
